Our Mission
To promote liver wellness, healthy
lifestyles, and reduce the incidence of preventable diseases that
affect the liver including obesity, diabetes, fatty liver,
hepatitis, HIV, and substance abuse.
The mission of the Hepatitis Foundation International is:
-
To educate the
public, patients, and professionals about the prevention,
diagnosis, and treatment of viral hepatitis
-
To prevent viral
hepatitis and promote healthful lifestyles
-
To serve as
advocates for patients and the medical community worldwide
-
To support
research into prevention, treatment, and cures for viral
hepatitis.
To accomplish this, we provide education,
training programs, and materials for the public, patients, health
educators, and medical professionals. We also support hepatitis
research, provide a patient telephone support network, answer a
toll-free hotline, maintain a database of hepatitis support groups,
and host this web site, your gateway to liver care and hepatitis
information.
If you would like to join us in the ongoing
fight against viral hepatitis, please visit our Donate section.
If you simply have an issue of hepatitis concern, call us toll-free
at 800-891-0707 from 9:00am – 5:00pm EST Monday-Friday. We’re here
– in person – to help. And, if you have time, explore our E-Store
where videos, books, booklets, brochures, primers and much more
await you.
