Hepatitis
Coordinators, AIDS and Drug Abuse Counselors Embrace Liver
Wellness To Enhance Primary and Secondary Prevention
Providing information about the importance of liver
has made a positive difference according to Beverly Watts Davis, Sr.
Advisor on Substance Abuse Policy, Office of the Administrator,
Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA). She
wrote, "Please keep working with the Center for Substance Abuse
Prevention (CSAP) and their HIV grantees." An increasing number of AIDs and drug abuse counselors, nurse
clinicians, and STD outreach workers are delighted to have new
information and an effective approach to help their patients avoid
liver damaging behaviors and enhance their recovery. Dr. H. Westley Clark, Dir. of Center for Substance Abuse Treatment at
SAMHSA, said, "Liver wellness is a good strategy for
recovery." For more information on HFI's Foundation for
